Diet by the NHS

So, the dietitian over at the NHS recommended me this diet. I’m am not totally convinced it is the right way forward as I suspect it contains a little bit too much carbohydrates for my likings. Aiming for 2000 kcal per day here.

Recall to never drink just before or during the meal!!!

Breakfast:

Weetabix in Skimmed milk or
Shredded wheat in Natural Unsweetened Natural Yoghurt
Fruit
Porridge and Fruit
Orange Juice and Fruit

Lunch:

1) Wraps, Pitta Bread
2) Salad with (selection of) Ham, Chicken, Turkey, Tuna, Mackerel, Salmon
3) Fruit Salad
4) Salad – Watercress, Broccoli, Chard, Spinach, Cherry Tomatoes, cucumber

Any of the above but no. 3) with Pasta, Rice, Potatoes 75 gram of – for carbohydrates.

Dinner:

Tomato based with additional portions of veggies. Add Chillies, Ginger, Garlic and Herbs.
Spray Oil onto meal – pref. Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Choose from below:

1) Fish – white (less fatty).
2) Chicken – Breast
3) Turkey – Breast
4) Quorn
